डॉ. प्रमोद पाटील यांना “ग्रीन ऑस्कर” पुरस्कार प्रदान :
- लंडनमधील व्हाइटली फंड फॉर नेचर या संस्थेचा पक्षीतज्ज्ञ डॉ. प्रमोद पाटील यांना “ग्रीन ऑस्कर” पुरस्कार नुकताच प्रदान करण्यात आला.
- माळढोकच्या संवर्धनासाठी पाटील यांनी केलेल्या कार्याची दखल घेऊन त्यांना हा पुरस्कार दिला आहे.
- रॉयल जिऑग्राफी सोसायटीमध्ये या पुरस्काराचे वितरण झाले.
- सन्मानचिन्ह, सुमारे 33 लाख 76 हजार रुपये (35000 पौंड) असे पाटील यांना दिलेल्या पुरस्काराचे स्वरूप आहे.
- पर्यावरण संवर्धनासाठी कार्य करणाऱ्या जगभरातील 174 जणांकडून आलेल्या अर्जांतून सात जणांना नामांकित केले होते.
- तसेच या पुरस्काराची रक्‍कम माळढोक संवर्धन प्रकल्पासाठी दिल्याचे पाटील यांनी सांगितले.
औरंगाबादजवळ देशातील पहिली औद्योगिक स्मार्ट सिटी उभारण्यात येणार :
- औरंगाबादजवळ साडेआठ हजार हेक्‍टरवर देशातील पहिली औद्योगिक स्मार्ट सिटी “दिल्ली-मुंबई इंडस्ट्रिअल कॉरिडॉर” या महत्वाकांक्षी प्रकल्पांतर्गत उभारण्यात येणार आहे.
- केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने बुधवारी देशात शंभर “स्मार्ट सिटी” उभारण्याच्या योजनेला मान्यता दिली.
- महाराष्ट्रातून पुणे, मुंबई, नागपूर, नाशिक, औरंगाबाद आणि भिवंडी या शहरांचा या योजनेत समावेश केला आहे.
क्रायोजेनिक इंजिनाची कार्यक्षमता सिद्ध करण्यासाठी इंजिनावर विविध चाचण्या सुरू :
- उच्च क्षमतेच्या क्रायोजेनिक इंजिनाची आणखी सुधारणा करून कार्यक्षमता सिद्ध करण्यासाठी इंजिनावर विविध चाचण्या सुरू आहेत.
- उपग्रहाला पृथ्वीच्या गुरुत्वाकर्षण शक्तीच्या बाहेर नेण्यासाठी क्रायोजेनिक इंजिनाचा वापर करण्यात येतो.
- तमिळनाडूमधील महेंद्रगिरी येथे “इस्रो”च्या प्रयोगशाळेत 28 एप्रिल क्रायोजेनिक इंजिनची (सीई 20) अधिक कालावधीची (635 सेकंद) हॉट टेस्ट घेण्यात आली.

चैतन्य ताम्हणे आणि कंगणा राणावत यांना चित्रपट पुरस्कार प्रदान :
- मराठी चित्रपट दिग्दर्शक चैतन्य ताम्हणे आणि बॉलिवूड अभिनेत्री कंगणा राणावत यांना राष्ट्रपतींच्या हस्ते राष्ट्रीय चित्रपट पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला.

- विकास बहल आणि निर्माते विक्रमादित्य मोटवानी यांना “क्‍वीन” चित्रपटासाठी गौरविण्यात आले. मराठीतील “कोर्ट” या चित्रपटाला सर्वोत्कृष्ट चित्रपट पुरस्काराने गौरविण्यात आले.
- सुवर्णकमळ आणि रोख अडीच लाख रुपये देऊन चैतन्य ताम्हणे यांचा गौरव करण्यात आला.
- परेश मोकाशी दिग्दर्शित “एलिझाबेथ एकादशी” चा सर्वोत्तम बालचित्रपट म्हणून तर अविनाश अरुण दिग्दर्शित “किल्ला”चा मराठी भाषेतील सर्वोत्तम चित्रपट पुरस्काराने गौरव झाला.
- रवींद्र जाधव दिग्दर्शित “मित्रा”ला सर्वोत्तम लघुपट पुरस्काराने गौरविण्यात आले.
मंत्रालयांमध्ये स्वतंत्र कायदा अधिकारी नेमला जाणार :
- देशभरातील विविध न्यायालयांमध्ये सुरू असलेल्या सरकारशी संबंधित खटल्यांचा वेळेत निपटारा करण्यासाठी आता विविध मंत्रालयांमध्ये स्वतंत्र कायदा अधिकारी नेमला जाणार आहे.
- हा अधिकारीच खटले पुढे सुरू ठेवायचे की नाही याचा निर्णय घेईल.
